I went here for a conference recently and was lucky enough to get the opportunity to stay in the hotel for the night.

It is a really impressive resort which covers 100-hectares and is set on beautiful gardens and a world-class golf course. Located on Ross Street in Benowa, it is hidden away midway between the stunning sandy coast of Surfers Paradise and the nearby lush hinterland rainforest.

This resort offers excellent facilities on-site together with a wealth of nearby attractions and places to visit, which will ensure a wonderful stay whether on business or pleasure.

Smartly decorated with a contemporary flavour it offers an incredible list of facilities that is sure to keep everyone happy, whether looking to get active or completely relax. It has a resort spa, a 27-hole champion golf course with state of the art driving range, restaurants, conference and event venues, bars, gardens, a gymnasium, 5 tennis courts, a large lagoon pool with decking, a huge kids playground and more.

The 331 guest rooms – a mix of standard rooms and premium suites - all have spectacular views of either the hinterland, gardens, pool or golf course.

The rooms are really comfortable and a really good size – they all come with controlled air-conditioning, STD and ISD telephones, widescreen TV, in-house movies, desk, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board, hairdryer, mini bar and complimentary morning paper.

The staff I encountered during my stay were all incredibly helpful, professional and friendly, and you could tell that they have been trained to an exceptional standard. Whether reception, catering, conference, bar or concierge, each team member was approachable and ready to go that extra mile to make sure customers were happy. One of the catering staff at breakfast said he would bring a menu to us, but then he couldn't find where we had sat down, when he eventually caught up with us, he was so apologetic that he took one of the breakfasts off the bill. A nice (and unnecessary) gesture, which shows just how much they pride themselves on their high-level of customer service.

The conference facilities were impressive and come with a host of very capable staff to help at every aspect. They offer a variety of rooms to suit all needs with all the latest in modern technology.

The food was delicious throughout the whole stay – the dinner and conference food was excellent and the large hot and cold breakfast was perfect, whether filling you up for a day on the gold course or for a healthy start before a day of pampering.

The whole hotel offers free WIFI Internet for all guests; you just need to get the code from reception.

Locally, again you are spoilt for choice, as the Gold Coast offers everything you could want in natural beauty, with miles and miles of stunning, clean and safe beaches, recreational parks and rainforest nature walks to explore. For the young at heart there is a variety of Theme Parks and Wildlife Parks such as Sea World, WB Movie World, Wet N Wild, Dream World and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Plus everything you could want in retail, entertainment, dining and socialising with hundreds of bars, restaurants, markets and shopping to choose from locally, at Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach (including the famous Jupiters Casino), Sanctuary Cove, Emerald Lakes, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Marina Mirage, Burleigh Beach and much more.

A great hotel with wonderful staff and second-to-none facilities - with gorgeous beaches a few minutes in one direction and incredible rainforest the other. You would be hard pushed to find somewhere else that can offer all that in one resort.
