Tweety Bird's a Showstopper
It's fun, it's fabulous.
Roll Up, Roll up...
The Royal Melbourne Show, Victoria's largest, most popular community event, springs to life at the Melbourne Showgrounds from Saturday 21st September to Wednesday October 2nd.
I'll be there with bells on - or a sun hat at least - and maybe some dangly earrings for the sake of it. Why? Because I love it. I loved it as a kid; I love it now, albeit for different reasons.
While most people are aware of the main attractions, here are a few of the more obscure (and I think more exciting) show experiences on offer:
Watch calves being born Learn some egg-citing ways to test the freshness of your eggs Pat a chook Plant a herb garden in an old shoe Dress up a scarecrow
Step into the Masterchef Kitchen and find out how many eggs and kilos of flour it takes to make 3780 pancakes (just in case you ever need to) Watch a hair-raising 10-storey high tightrope walk Get up close and personal with a cow CatchBugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes gang in Classroom Capers
