The Royal Hotel has been operating in Leichhardt since 1886. Major refurbishments have been undertaken since the new management team took over in 2013. Consequently the upstairs area is a beautiful plant filled modern space whilst the downstairs main bar has a sporty 'local' feel with a TAB and large TVs. Locals are well catered for with various promotions, events and live music, the Royal Social Club and The Royal Express courtesy bus.



The upstairs terrace is a garden oasis with a louvred roof that is great for group dining in all conditions. The menu contains a few surprises such as the crispy fish taco with miso ginger mayo and pineapple salsa which I found to be delicious and great value at 3 for $14. Vegetarians are catered for with roasted pumpkin salads, super bowls and mushroom burgers. They also offer gluten-free options as well as the usual pub favourites of schnitzels, steaks, burgers and salads. There is a good range of drinks and cocktails suitable for all tastes and a friendly relaxed atmosphere.



Get together with your friends and have a great time at The Royal, in the main bar, dining on the terrace or have a function in one of the private dining areas.
