I made a stop this Sunday for a meal at the Royal and was immediately struck by the sight of a full house. Quickly though I was escorted to a nice small table. Their wait staff are very welcoming and pleasant. Their friendly smiles make your dining experience an enjoyable one.

While Seniors have a well thought out selection to choose from, the main menus are a real feast.





The Royal "coffee and cake special" is always popular and this Sunday the cake I chose was a chocolate cookie cheesecake. It really hit the spot!

The dining room was fully packed, so if you want to combine lunch with the jazz sessions from the New Melbourne Jazz Band every six weeks, then it might be a good idea to make a booking. Things really heat up with the jazz music and the crowds join in with the singing, and couples even get into the swing of things by dancing on the small dance floor.

The Royal Ferntree Gully 300 gram Graziers Porter House with creamy garlic prawns $25.90 is a limited special at the moment.
