Recounting the adventures in Sydney and beyond! :)
Published March 29th 2012

The Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney CBD is the perfect place for a picnic with family and friends, a casual afternoon stroll or even to hold your wedding ceremony.

Getting there is rather easy and convenient by public transport. The nearest station is Martin Place but it is also possible to get there with a 5 minute walk from Circular Quay. There is also a walk way that will take you to Town Hall. Along this walk, there is a variety of unique and colourful Australian flora for you discover and admire. You might even meet some native animals along the way. I was lucky enough to come across a kookaburra on my visit!

The Gardens is a popular venue for tourists, students and business people in the surrounding schools and office. It has large open spaces with plenty of greenery so the air quality is extraordinarily pure and fresh. It is the place everyone - both young and old.

If you do plan on having a picnic there, be sure to get there before lunch hour when it can get pretty crowded.

For more information about the Gardens and the facilities that they offer, visit their website.
