After the Christmas/New Year excesses of food, presents and visiting relatives, why not do something entirely different? Come and experience something truly unique in the
Royal Botanic Gardens. You alone, with friends or with your family, can build a cubby house as part of a village, using materials found in the Gardens.
Botanica encourages families and people to work together, connect to nature, build and create.
Curated by artist Darryl Cordell and inspired by his childhood in the bush, this is a unique experience to get back to the basics and imagine you are stranded somewhere far away from civilisation and have to provide shelter. It's challenging but it's also fun and you know that at the end of the day you can return to your nice cosy home.

What will your house look like?
Botanica will take place from Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 January 2018, 10.30am to 3 pm, but you can drop in anytime. Why not come along for an hour or bring a picnic and spend the day and explore the rest of the Royal Botanic Gardens, a green oasis in the middle of the city.
