I'm in Melbourne often enough - so why not write a bit about some places I've seen :)

Short on money but big on love? Why not head to the Royal Melbourne Botanic Gardens for a morning or afternoon? Or why not an entire day, the gardens are big enough it might just take that long to see them all!
The Botanic Gardens are a perfect location to spend time with family or friends or as couple, simply just spending time together. The gorgeous scenery sets a spectacular backdrop for light conversation, warming cuddles, a picnic lunch, or a lovely stroll around the paths. The grounds are large enough to accommodate all these activities – there is plenty of space for the kids to kick a football while parents sit back on a chair and watch, or further into the gardens there are numerous little hide-away spots for couples to have some privacy. The well made paths provide comfortable walking or cycling space which lead through and around the gardens.
The trees and the plants are beautiful in any season. The ambience within the gardens instantly relaxes the mind and calms the soul. It is a peaceful to spend alone and catch up on some reading, enjoy a coffee, or just take that time to get in touch with your inner-self.
One of the even better things about the Royal Botanic Gardens is that it's free. Just catch a train into the city followed by a tram ride along Alexandra or St Kilda Road, the Gardens are easily accessible once in the city.
Of course with this type of activity the weather has a great influence. It's not a day out to be planned in advance, as we all know the unpredictability of Melbourne weather! Keep this one in mind for those lazy weekends when the sun is shining and the birds are singing – both these natural beauties will be glorified in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
