We all know kids love RIDES and SHOWBAGS and the range seems endless. On top of that they can have a Safari Zoo Adventure and Craft Village where they can get selfies alongside fun life size animatronic animals, including a full-size elephant, gorilla, giraffes, tigers, lions, zebras and much more; like, Meet & Greets with Skipper from DreamWorks Penguins of Madagascar and Alex the Lion also from Dreamworks Madagascar.

For entertainment. You'll be spoilt for choice with many stages and arenas to choose from. You have the Night Shift nightly in the Main Arena from 7pm. The Golden North Stage filled with some of Australia's best performers, not to mention the Icecream Eating competition which has to be the most scrumptious competition ever. Did you know that you could take a selfie on the Skymaster Wheel and upload it to Facebook or Instagram, using the hashtag #FW50th for not only the chance to see your face on the big screen during the show, but you'll also go into the draw to win a Wallis cinema gold pass valued at $1820.

The Show is also a great opportunity to educate the public about farming and for you to see the cattle up close. From your Angus beef cattle to the Guernseys, a not so common dairy cattle breed in Australia, you'll also find a sheep feature event, the Merino School Wether Competition (Wed 4 Sep at 9am at Sheep & Wool Pavilion). Renmark High School Agriculture students are making their debut appearance. An opportunity at an event like this assists these students in exploring and gaining industry knowledge and hands-on experience in animal husbandry, nutrition, safety and teamwork.

If you really enjoy getting down to earth, then the Horticulture Stage is for you. Hear from experts, enjoy masterclasses with industry experts and learn tips and tricks to not only get your garden looking tip top, but how to create the ultimate entertaining platter and ultimate school lunchbox. There's a ton of things to see, do and experience at the show. We've only just scratched the surface. Going country enjoy judging events of alpacas, beef cattle, cats, dairy cattle, dogs, domestic pets, goats, horses, pigs, sheep and more, along with the milking barn, farmyard nursery etcetera.

Enjoy displays of agriculture, cookery, commercial fruit, advanced technology, handicrafts, woodchopping, and the list goes on. Looking for more to do, follow the Yellow Brick Road, get onto the Play Me Piano, Pig Racing and Diving, and a Rooftop Tour amongst other activities. Head to the Pavilions for the Market Bazaar, Pet Centre, Taste SA, Farm Expo, Dairy Food Hall and more.

Food options are aplenty at the Kingsway Gourmet with a variety of food vendors and the Kingsway Coopers Bar at the top of the precinct behind BankSA. The Atrium is the undercover food court with a wide range of options for the whole family. NEW is the Family Value Pack where you can choose from a healthy snack pack, fish pack or pizza along with old favourites like chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers. The Boulevard precinct is nestled amongst trees to sit on lush lawns and relax while you grab your bearings and a bite to eat. Jubilee West also offers a range of food options including classic Show Food. The Truck Stop is the spot for you for a quick bite or coffee before exploring the Livestock Pavilions or watching the Main Arena entertainment. There are options galore to suit all budgets, with a huge range of not just food, but entertainment spread across every corner of the Showground.
