The Rover

The Rover is a story of how two European cultures collide in the 17th century – and one that scandalised audiences at the time. It's a tale of how two sisters throw themselves into the chaotic streets of Naples during the city's Carnival. One sister is in search of her forbidden true love whilst the other is intent on a good time! Their paths cross with Europe's most famous Courtesan; a band of exiled English Cavaliers and a host of colourful characters.

The audience is sure to be taken on a thrilling yet dangerous ride full of music, revelry, and masquerades.

The Rover is from the pen of England's first female professional playwright (and sometimes spy), and continues to ask bold questions about freedom, anonymity, class, and sexual politics.

Performances are from August 19th to September 4th 2022. Tickets are - Adult: $36 Concession/ Preview:$28 with Group rates available.
