Token Events presents 'Rove McManus' in his fringe show. 'That's Me Talking' , running as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival at The Garden of Unearthly Delights - Corona Theatre at 8:15pm from March 9th - 12th. Rove is now a parent and his new fringe show, 'That's Me Talking', features stories about his past, his present and some funny anecdotes. Have you ever wondered what Stephen Hawking would sound like telling a joke? Well, then get down to Rove's show for a hilarious impression of Hawking.

Rove talks about parenting and how fatherhood has changed his way of thinking. He tries very hard to be a good parent and reads his daughter nursery rhymes every night. But he finds problems with the stories, from why a man called Wee Willie Winkie is running around town tapping on windows in his nightgown. He says "Think about it. That's creepy. A man knocking on your window asking where your kids are!" He questions why someone would 'rock-a-bye baby in a treetop', saying parental services should be called on this family.

He talks about how he and his wife have decided to be open and honest relationship with their daughter, discussing what parts boys and girls have. His daughter knows she has the same parts as mummy and daddy has different parts. One night, while his wife was out, his daughter decided to go through the whole family of grandparents, aunties and uncles, asking about their parts, then stumped Rove with what does Minnie Mouse have? His response was "Go ask Mummy".

His daughter is 3 years old, at the age where she quotes everything Mummy and Daddy say. One night, the dog next door kept barking and Rove said "Dog, who asked your opinion?". His daughter said "Dog, who asked if you are a penguin?". He talks about a story from when he was younger, about a bear he found on the side of the road that his mother sewed back together for him and how its the most precious thing he owns. One day he will pass it on to his daughter. Rove isn't worried whether his daughter will grow right because she is surrounded by amazing women, from his loving wife and thoughtful mother.

Overall a hilarious show and a must see this fringe season. Don't miss your chance to see 'Rove McManus' at The Garden of Unearthly Delights: Corona Theatre, 4/5 Stars.
