It's definitely book season and readers in the Northern suburbs take note. Thanks to the Rotary Club of Carlton you can stockpile over the weekend of 3rd and 4th of June 2017, for there will be plenty of bargains in the form of books, CD's and more, in a fun, festive environment.
Being held at the Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre in Carlton, this fair is not reserved exclusively for book lovers. A collection of sheet music, CD's, DVD's, records, magazines and comics will also be in the mix for your shopping pleasure. And with prices starting at only $1, you can amass a collection as big as you like for your winter hibernation without putting too big a dent in your seasonal entertainment budget.
In addition to the books and audio visual selection, feast on something straight from the BBQ grill, and enjoy the live musical entertainment playing for your listening pleasure. Get into the groove because this is an all round, feel good affair. Proceeds raised by this book & music sale will be used to support mental illness research through Australian Rotary Health.
The Rotary Second-Hand Book & Music Fair is being held at the Kathleen Syme Library and Community Centre, 251 Faraday Street, Carlton on the weekend of Saturday 3rd June from 10am to 5pm and Sunday 4th June from 12noon to 5pm. Admission to the sale is free.
