If your kids want to go rock climbing, or brave crocodile infested waters, take them to Rotary Park in Christies Beach. This playground is set up as an underwater wonderland, where your child can captain a ship or become a pirate, while you relax and enjoy the view of the beach.

Rotary Park Playground

The entire playground floor is covered with a fun rubber pattern that consists of fish and stars, this stuff is great for any kids choosing to scale the rock climbing wall because it'll create a soft splinter free landing. All the regulars like a swing set, slides, and climbing frames can be found, but the slide takes the form of a pirate ship, and there are two other boats on the playground for your child to man. The playground is designed to inspire your child's imagination as he or she becomes the next person to brave the wild seas. The playground is also mostly under shade, so you can have a clearer mind about your children spending all that time outside in the sun.

Kids can practice their rock climbing skills

Parents can sit back and relax on the tables and benches that are available in the park; these are all situated fairly close to the playground so that you can still be close to any kids playing. There are some uncovered, and some covered areas. The park has mainly palm trees without much shade to sit under. You can still set up a blanket on the grass and enjoy a picnic, or use one of the multiple barbeques in the park to cook your own sausage sizzle.

Cook Up a Great Lunch on the BBQ

There is plenty of grass space to play some friendly ball games, and you can always move on to the beach and set-up a game of beach cricket. The park is very well maintained and has recently been upgraded, both you and your kids will enjoy heading out for a day at the park. There are no toilet facilities on the park, but it sits on the beach front and there are toilet and shower facilities there. There are also walking and riding paths along the beach. This is one of the best beach-side playgrounds around, so go experience the seamless blend from beach to playground and let the kids have a very fun day.
