A new playground in Piara Waters with plenty for littlies
Rossiter Pavilion playground is a new play space for the kids of Piara Waters and surrounding suburbs. It features nature-based play, sand play and an outdoor play kitchen.

This cool little playground is located at Rossiter Pavilion, a community space available for public hire, events and birthday parties (excluding ages 16 to 25 as these are considered high risk.) There are also public toilets - always a bonus for parents of toilet-training children.

The playground has a big emphasis on nature play and has an area with log steps and stone slides, and there are also a couple of fantastic in-ground mini trampolines.

At the centre of the playground is a small play structure with rope play, a small climbing wall with rock climbing style holds and a couple of slides for the kids to race down.

There is also a set of swings that includes an accessible swing with a harness, plus a toddler seat.

My eldest daughter's favourite feature of the park was the outdoor play kitchen. She loves this type of role play activity so was in her element here.

She also loved the sand play area, in which the kids can use a 'bucket' - made from an old tyre - to pick up sand and hoist it up onto the table.

Along with the public toilets, other amenities include drinking water fountains, including a special one for your pooch, an undercover picnic area and public barbeques.

The pavilion also has a large playing field where the kids can kick a ball, throw sticks to the dog or just run around like crazy little people.

The nearby Stockland Harrisdale is only a short drive away or is around a 25-30 minute walk, and there are plenty of good quality walking paths to get you there if you need snacks or coffee.

Rossiter Pavilion Playground is worth a visit if you live within the surrounding suburbs or if you are in the Piara Waters area. There's enough to keep the kids entertained for a morning or afternoon of fun.
