'Extreme Tales' told by television personality Ross Kemp
In a global first, award-winning documentary maker, author and actor Ross Kemp brings his Extreme Tales live to the stage in Australia this February. Hear Ross share his personal experiences, both humorous and heartbreaking, from some of the world's most dangerous people and places.

From El Salvador to East Timor and from Moscow to South Africa, Ross delivers the brutal untold story of our diverse world in this no-holds-barred evening.

BAFTA-winning documentary maker Ross has taken on important global issues of our time and has entered some of the world's most dangerous locations, telling the untold stories of those suffering war, crime, violence and poverty. Be prepared to "laugh, cry and rethink who and what we are".

For those people who have not watched Ross Kemp on television - Ross Kemp was born on July 21, 1964 in Barking, Essex, England. His mother, Jean, was a hairdresser and his father, John, was a policeman with the Metropolitan Police force. He has a brother named Darren who is a documentary producer for the BBC.

Ross attended Shenfield High School, where he is remembered as an excellent athlete. He wanted to be an actor from a young age and went on to study drama at the Webber Douglas Academy. He has rarely been out of work since leaving the academy in 1985, appearing on stage, in films, on television and in various advertisements.

His first credited television appearance was in 1986, playing Graham Lodsworth in "Emmerdale Farm". His most famous role to date was his award-winning portrayal of hardman Grant Mitchell in the popular BBC series "EastEnders". Ross is TV's toughest guy who has become the face of documentaries on the toughest subjects around.

His two most famous documentaries are Ross Kemp "On Gangs", which aired from 2004-2009, and Ross Kemp "In Afghanistan", which aired from 2008-2012. "On Gangs" won the BAFTA for Best Factual Series in 2006, while Ross won International TV Personality for "In Afghanistan" in 2014.

He has also made documentaries about pirates and the Amazon rainforest, as well as continuing to appear on chat shows. He has investigated the heroin epidemic in Chicago, as the first in his series looking at the world's most troubling issues, and his investigative skills are second to none. His television shows are both riveting and fascinating, and are a "must see".
