Rosebud is an amazing locale for brunch any day of the week. It is (naturally) difficult to find a table on the weekends. During the week, a leisurely lifestyle paradise awaits. The latter is cool, except when you've got a bit of work on and your laptop makes it to Darling Street yet again. It's all good.
The eggs benedict and spicy chai tea as it arrived on my table
I asked for an eggs benedict, a pot of chai tea and a glass of water. Everything arrived at my table except for the glass of water. Never mind. This establishment is still a pretty good hangout spot to enjoy breakfast at. The staff (some of them anyway) are quite young, and sometimes you think they wouldn't care. It doesn't matter, you can easily kill a couple of hours here.
The busy vibe and ambience that makes Rosebud, Rosebud
If you're lucky, you might be able to find a newspaper to read. Otherwise, soak up the atmosphere as much as possible. My eggs benedict ($17) arrived quite quickly. The organic poached eggs with salmon and spinach blended in beautifully with the hollandaise sauce. The sauce was a hit, and their eggs were well cooked. The salmon pieces were fresh. All of this with a small touch of pepper. Delightful. The french bread base, oh dear - yummy as.
The pot of traditional chai tea ($5) blended in beautifully with the eggs benedict dish. The tea was super spicy. On this occasion, I just liked things that way. Exotic chai spices came into the mix for sure.
On other occasions I had been to Rosebud, I tried their pancakes. Their cafe lattes are okay, yet their chai lattes are amazing. For anything chai, come to Rosebud. I have tried their berry frappes too. Their frappes and smoothies are also delightful, as are their organic eggs on sourdough bread. It's nice to eat out here for a breakfast dish, especially with the sun shining.
