'Where the View is worth the Drive'

Rosebud Park & Recreation Reserve is a great place to visit this summer.

The park is located on the slopes of Arthurs Seat and features an 18 hole golf course which overlooks Rosebud and Port Phillip Bay.

The golf course itself is regarded as one of the best public courses in Victoria and is surrounded by stunning wooded areas, local flora and native wildlife, making it perfect for short walks, picnics and barbeques with friends and family.

The highly rated golf course has one of the lowest green fees on the Mornington Peninsula; constantly watered (recycled) fairways; and putting greens and holes suitable for all levels and abilities.

Complementing the course is the Pro Shop offering group & individual lessons and a range of hire facilities, including clubs, carts and buggies.

Membership is available and there is also a Seniors Tournament.

Visitors are welcome and there are several pricing options available. Regular prices are as follows; 18 holes for adults is $36.00 and 18 holes for juniors is $16.00. However right now you can take advantage of a new golfing rate of unlimited golf for $24 after 2pm!

As a special offer WeekendNotes subscribers, Rosebud Park & Recreation Reserve are also offering "Buy One Get One Free' - to take advantage of this exclusive offer print the voucher below:

Bookings can be made by contacting 5981 2833.

Also located onsite are public picnic pavillions with covered seating and free push button barbecues. These areas can cater for both small and large groups.

Plus you can discover the natural beauty of Waterfall Creek Bushland.

Rated as one of the best walking trails on the Mornington Peninsula, this short walk weaves its way through the wooded areas both within the Golf Course and on the boundaries that interface with residential development.

It also joins up with the walking tracks of Seawinds Gardens, a popular Arthurs Seat State Park attraction.

Whilst following the walking trail, you will come across protected areas for local flora and native wildlife; kangaroos often watch the passing traffic on the course while echidnas and the occasional koala will appear so unexpectedly to delight visitors.

Walkers on the Two Bays Walking Track can also stop over for lunch at Rosebud Park (a range of barbeque packs can be arranged - make sure to book ahead) and dogs on leash are welcome at the park and frequently accompany their masters to play golf.

Friends of Waterfall Creek Bushland Reserve maintain this area alongside golf course staff. Come along and discover this hidden gem this Summer - it offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!
