The Rosebud Chamber of Commerce is very proudly presenting the Rosebud Foreshore Rock Fest over the weekend of Friday 25th to Sunday 27th November 2016. There will be rock 'n' roll dances, beach party, markets, classic cars and drive-in movies – all the key ingredients for the perfect retro festival.
Mods and Rockers, Greasers and Jocks, pull on your bobby socks, capris, pea coats and flares and relive the 50's and 60's at this fully immersive retro rock festival in Rosebud. The party kicks off on Friday 25th November at 6pm with a good, old-fashioned Beach Party at the Rosebud Sea Scout Hall. A DJ will keep you rockin' and a boppin' all night long. Tickets are $10 each, which includes a gourmet burger for dinner, and it's BYO drinks! Gonna be hip!
The Saturday line up starts with a Texas Holdem car cruise stylin' from 9am to 1pm. It's $10 to drive and the event includes entry in the poker styled game (with a prize pool of over $500). After an (approximate) 45-minute drive you will arrive in convoy at a venue featuring live entertainment and lunch options available to purchase. There will be an indoor restaurant and outdoor beer garden, with loads of parking and kid friendly play area.
The Rockfest Central Market & Dance will be all systems go at the Rosebud Primary School from 10am to 4pm. The Rosebud Primary School is located on the corner of Jetty Rd and Point Nepean Rd, Rosebud. There's a gold coin donation upon entry to the market and interested stallholders can call Clint on 0418 386 079 to reserve a space. The day will be full of entertainment with the Betty Boo Salon on hand to help with make up and hair styling courtesy of some local TAFE students. Then live DJ's and bands will have you jiving. CJ & Harros will be doing a dance demonstration, followed by a dance workshop for those not quite so familiar with the style and steps.
Catch the classic Audrey Hepburn film, Funny Face at the Rosebud Cinema at 2pm, and don't forget to call past the Vintage Bazaar for some true retro shopping. There will be a VIP event between 2pm and 6pm with full details and registration on the website.
The Saturday night has a huge line-up of fun. Either head to the dinner dance featuring Honey B & The Stingers at the Rosebud Italian Club or enjoy Who Was That Cat plus DJ Jeff at the Rosebud Primary School for a $15 entry. Tickets can be purchased online. The Lincolns and Fender Benders will be belting it out at the Eastborne Primary School, and an Elvis double feature will be playing at the Dromana 3 Drive In. Swing those hips, cats!!!

Sleep when you're dead, groovers, cause the party's on again Sunday 27th November starting with the Hot Rod and Chrome Bumper Car Show at the Village Green from 8.30am to 3.30pm. Desired cars are pre 1975 and there is a $10 entry per vehicle.
The Rock N Roll Central Market and Dance continues at the Rosebud Primary School, then be sure to catch live entertainment by The Jump Devils appearing in the Sound Shell on the Rosebud foreshore.
From 12midday to 1.30pm the Pin Up and Vintage Era competitions will be in full swing in the Rosebud Memorial Hall at 994 Point Nepean Road, opposite the Rosebud Hotel. Entry is $20 per category and can be booked online. The categories include 1920's Gatsby/Flapper, 1940's War Era Vintage/Pin Up, 1950's Pin Up/Rockabilly, 1960's Gogo Girl/Jackie O, 1970's Hippy/Disco, Alternative Goth/Punk/Psychobilly and finally Couples in any era or style. Prizes will consist of cash and vouchers.
