In the Cantonese language "yum cha" means 'drink tea" but
Top Australian Wines is giving you the opportunity to swap the tea for wines and taste eight best selling wines with an all-you-can-eat Yum Cha at the popular
David's Restaurant on Saturday, 22nd March.
It's a food and wine match made in heaven. Along with a huge range of Chinese dishes, you'll enjoy wines of unique blends and harvests — 4 Rose wines from Australia, France & Italy and 4 Pinot Noirs from Australia, France & New Zealand.
David's prides itself in "putting tradition on the table", providing traditional and contemporary dishes inspired by the Shanghai countryside. Your menu includes such delicacies as Peking duck wraps, spiced oolong tea quail eggs with bean curd and wolfberries, and tasty dumplings for starters, wok-prepared calamari and lamb, and dessert favourites including milk chocolate sesame balls and traditional Chinese almond pudding.
The wine list features the 2012 Castel Firmian Lagrein Rosato from Italy, Tasmania's own 2012 Holm Oak Pinot Noir, the 2012 The Little Wine Company Sangiovese Rose from the Hunter Valley, and the South African 2012 Diemersfontein Pinotage. You can order your favourites on the day, which will put you in the draw for a magnum bottle of the critically acclaimed 2012 Paddy Northwick Pinot Noir from Wairarapa, New Zealand.
Tickets are now available for the fabulous price of $69. What a bargain; traditional, tasty yum cha with eight perfectly paired wines. You can book your place at this exclusive event
