Rose Heritage Cafe

Published September 4th 2012
It was a glorious sunny winter weekend when we decided to go for a nice drive down to the little region of Carmel, and enjoy the sights along the way.

Located in a beautiful and peaceful setting of a jarrah forest, the Rose Heritage Cafe is part of Melville Nurseries, and has plenty to explore. It is suitable for the whole family, or couples wishing to spend romantic time together.

We ordered cakes and coffees, there is a nice selection of gourmet snacks and sweets such as chocolate tart, butterscotch fudge, quiches, muffins as well as other more substantial meals.

The coffee was some of the best i've enjoyed in Perth, and the butterscotch and chocolate fudge was rich and creamy, perfect with the coffee.

Then we went for a stroll around the French Rose gardens, enjoying taking snaps around the sculptures and carefully arranged greenery. There are stunning flower arrangements all around the cafe and grounds. This would be a perfect wedding location too!

Finally we went up to the koi pond, where massive, brightly coloured fish swam around, even leaping up occasionally, which was very entertaining.

My mother in law takes my girls here, and they just love it. If I knew how good the cakes looks, I might have insisted I come along too! Great article, well done.
