Presented by experimental theatre-makers Hurrah Hurrah, this indie-style comedy theatre performance questions our relationship with technology.

This stellar indie performance took us on a journey with Pippi (Alison Bennett), a possessor of curious medical anomaly that causes her to be locked in a Nordic treatment centre where a doctor and nurse are trying to treat her with the latest technology methods, including the use of care bots which are used in many silly ways, going through an array of ridiculous treatments.

A crack team of care bots attend to her every need, even providing entertainment. The Doc (Kate Walder) uses any technological means to cure the next big disease that she is increasingly obsessed with diagnosing. Nursie (Nicholas O'Regan), the last of the human carers, struggles with the technological takeover and determines that what Pippi really needs is not another robot.

Pippi has her own secrets - is she really sick or is she just dying?

Pippi torments the staff with her klepto tendencies while they argue about potential treatments performing an outrageous number of tests and scans on body parts we were not even aware of!

Alone in the ward, Pippi comes to realise that things are serious. Isolated from her world of crooked comforts, Pippi befriends whatever she can…including a Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner. took us on a journey of realisation and acceptance of fate that befalls us all.

The performance featured a unique mix of crooked comedy, choreography and pathos and hacked robotic vacuum cleaners which took over the stage and tormented their human counterparts. It was a spectacular performance by the cast.

This performance is a tale of technology and how it 'should' help people - not necessarily how it can. It was an exciting performance that questioned our relationship with technology and comes up with some surprising answers as well as being filled with plenty of laughs and breaking your heart.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.
