Once again, we can give thanks for living in the lucky state because Perth's biggest outdoor cinema destination Rooftop Movies is returning from October 31. That's right – actual movies, in real life, in the open air and not sitting in your trackies on the couch (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Rooftop Movie is considered one of Perth's most photogenic venues, nestled in the heart of Northbridge and sitting atop the City of Perth Roe Street Carpark. Rooftop Movies offers a unique cinema experience with (very 'grammable) panoramic city views for sunset drinks and eats before you settle in for your movie.
There is a choice of seating this year with the traditional beanbags plus new deckchair-style seating. Of course, if you want to really impress your date, you can take them to the Premium Lounge with snuggly double beanbags in a reserved area, away from the rest of the riffraff.

For snacks, you can buy pizza from Mack Daddy's New York Slice and bevvies from Gage Roads Brewing Co. and Mad Fish wines plus all your favourite sugary and salty snacks from the Candy Bar. Please note that Rooftop Movies is a licenced 18 venue.
The first program is out now and tickets are available for movies through to the end of November. The season starts with Halloween classics such as Edward Scissorhands and Hocus Pocus, there are new releases like The High Note, Kajillionaire and An American Pickle, classics such as Xanadu and The Lost Boys and old-school favourites, including The Princess Bride and Stand By Me.
Tickets are $18 for unreserved beanbag seating, $20 for unreserved deckchair seating at the rear of the cinema and $50 for the double-beanbag in the premium lounge. This is for advanced online sales – if you rock up at the door on the night expect to pay $20 for a beanbag (if it's not sold out).
Cheap nights are Tuesdays ($14) and Wednesdays ($15) and FringeWorld Friends get cheap tickets to any session.
