The playground is not fenced and has direct access to the beach. There are both showers and taps to clean off if you get sandy. Occasionally the Gold Coast Council hosts Free Movies Under The Stars in Ronnie Long Park among other places on the Gold Coast.

The playground at Ronnie Long walk is not far from the Tallebudgera Creek which is a favoured spot for kids to swim due to the flat conditions.

The park is named after Ronnie Long, who dedicated 41 years to the life-saving club. Ronnie Long passed away in 2010 and the park was dedicated to him in 2011. Directions to this playground can be found HERE .
