Pick your own peonies at Romswood Farm
If you're looking for a little road trip out of Melbourne this weekend, the pretty Romswood Peony Farm in Kerrie in the Macedon Ranges is opening its gates to the public again to celebrate the blooming season.

Visitors can wander through the farm, exploring the established gardens and marvelling at the fields of blooms. Bring a basket and you can even pick your own bunch of perfect peonies to take home.

In China, where peonies originated, the flower is revered as a symbol of peace, stability, distinction and wealth.

The Romswood farm has a lovely cafe where food and drinks are sold but, if you like, you can bring your own picnic and rug and relax on the rolling lawns in the sunshine, listening to the live music. Peony candles and other products made on site at Romswood are also available for purchase.

There are nature walks on the property, perfect for children. Keep an eye out for the animal inhabitants of the Romswood garden too! On the final open day (Sunday 25th November) Parker's Mini Circus will be performing.
