Melbourne's sunshine is bringing out the romantics, new loves and long term relationships. The perfect opportunity for some more inspiration for romantic locations in lovely Melbourne. The idea of romance certainly has its interpretation and but always equates to doing something nice and special for the one you love.

So again I present for you 5 MORE romantic places in Melbourne.

Albert Park

Albert Park with its perfectly manicured grass, beautiful blue lake and gorgeous array of ducks and swans is just a hop skip and a jump or 3km from the heart of Melbourne city. Albert Park has long been equated as one of the most beautiful parks in Melbourne. It has all the makings of a fantastic romantic spot with lovely barbecue and picnic spots sporadically placed around the lake, a beautiful walking path that allows you to walk the whole length around the lake for a hand-in-hand walk with your beloved and you even have the opportunity to hire a boat for your own explorations of the lake itself.

The gorgeous and colourful sailboats that are often on the lake make a beautiful foreground to the lovely city sky line. Perfect any time of the day but simply gorgeous at sunset. Albert Park is a lovely spot for an couples special occasion or simply time alone in the great outdoors.

Centre Place

I love centre place! An eclectic tumble of cafes with a mixture of European influences with Spanish and Portuguese inspired Lorca café, the unique Soup place or In a Rush, with its display of large cauldron style pots filled with freshly made tasty soups and all surrounded by the classic Victorian style structures unique to the Melbourne CBD. This teeny laneway has tons of personality and with so many lovely cafes tucked along the side of this little street its hard to choose, which lovely café to choose. Coffees, chai, teas, cakes, sandwiches, freshly squeezed juices, bagels, fish and French patisserie. A wide variety of treats for you and your lovely to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner surrounded by the buzz and atmosphere that this lovely hidden spot can provide.

The Queen Victoria Gardens

Who wouldn't love to sit in the sun with your partner on a patchwork blanket with a basket of fresh fruit, food, drink and nibbles and The Queen Victoria Gardens is a gorgeous city park in which to do just that. The Queen Victoria Gardens is located in the Melbourne's CBD. It's a gorgeous green space bordered by St Kilda Road, Alexandra Avenue and Linlithgow Avenue and easily accessed across from the Arts Centre and National Gallery of Victoria.

Just taking a wonder through the Gardens brings about a sense of peace with the lovely flowers and gorgeous trees and the city skyline on the horizon. You could enjoy The Queen Victoria Gardens as the perfect start to a date, the accompaniment or feature to your romantic outing with your loved one.

The garden itself features amazing sculpted lawns, a huge variety of flowers, palm trees and gorgeous sculptures with gorgeous ponds home to ducks. It really is a lovely spot for a picnic or lunch time or after dinner walk and one that I highly recommend.
Elwood Beach

Elwood beach is a gorgeous beautiful foreshore beach along the bayside area in the city of Port Phillip. The beach is 1300m long with the water mostly shallow with lovely low waves reaching the beach.

This well kept local beach is perfect for a day for you and your loved one. Elwood beach is known for its beautiful bridges, walking paths, bike paths and barbeque facilities. Elwood beach is particularly proud of its life saving club and is also home to sailing clubs, angling clubs, sea scouts and a variety of restaurants and cafes for a leisurely meal, coffee or cold drink. Elwood beach also has specialised areas designated for boating and for more adventurous couples, the southern end of Elwood beach is devoted to thrill-seeking water skiers.

There is also a variety of native coastal vegetation on and encircling Elwood beach, which is surrounded by leafy Elwood Park. Giving the perfect full day event with a splash in the sea followed by a picnic in the park.

The beach in itself always provides a touch of romance and Elwood beach does not disappoint but don't forget to slip, slop and slap - the perfect excuse to get your hands on each other!

William Ricketts Sanctuary
**

Mystical William Ricketts Sanctuary is located along the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road among the gorgeous ferns opposite the way from The Cuckoo. William Rickets Sanctuary is the home to sculptures of Aboriginal figures and animal art works that have been placed in such a way that you have the joy of wondering through the gardens to locate the 92 pieces of kiln fired sculptures.

The passion of William Ricket designed this spot as a place of tranquility, which makes it a wonderful place for a romantic walk through the scenic location and a place to rekindle that all important fire. This also one for the romantics with a love of nature with Rickets vision being to encourage people to be custodians of nature much like the Aboriginal people.

This gorgeous location with its fern glades and melodic bell birds singing throughout the area, provides the calm of nature, lovely fresh air and gorgeous art work. After you have had your fill of the gardens simply nip across the road for fine dining at the ever popular Cuckoo restaurant, which serves divine tea and scones.

As a point of interest you and your loved one are also able to take an auditory tour to enrich your experience in the sanctuary. This allows you the pleasure of getting the background story on the gardens and sculptures as you travel further around the Dandenongs or on your way home, which can be located on the Parkweb website .
