The Magical Manderley, named after the gorgeous house in Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca, is a sweet two room guest house, run by the lovely Robyn Piddington. The choices for accommodation are The Treetops or The Terrace.
Well priced at $460 and $380 per room for the weekend, the tariff includes breakfast provisions (Treetops is self contained and Terrace as a breakfast bar), aperitifs, chocolates, candles, champagne, mineral water, bottled nectars and juice.
The rooms are warm and welcoming, with dimmer lighting, gas fires, large hydro-jet spas, electric blankets and mood music.
The rooms are well maintained and we had a lovely time over the weekend, staying there. The Magical Manderley oozes romance, as does the town of Leura with its boutique candle shops, galleries, fresh home made fudge, teapot museum small town vibe.
Escape Sydney and explore the mountains as you enjoy each other's company.
