Romano's Coffee have a few cafes around Melbourne, including franchises in Chadstone, Richmond and Frankston. I recently visited one on Albert Coates Lane, inside QV , and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Swanston Street.

Serving traditional Italian Coffee, Romano's use a blend of "5 of the finest quality Arabica beans from Central and South America, roasted to perfection". I didn't like it, but it was worth a shot.

At $3.30 for a small cappuccino, prices were reasonable here. Customer service was excellent – even for takeaway orders, staff really made an effort to remember your face to hand your coffee directly to you.

Romano's have a few savoury options (such as toast for breakfast), and heaps of sweet treats, like biscuits, slices and cakes.
