Love is out in the open air at Rom Coms and Nom Noms , a new midweek must-do for Brisbane lovers and inner-city office workers celebrating Hump Day.


Every Wednesday night in September and October, Post Office Square celebrates big romantic gestures with a free outdoor cinema event. There's a range of Rom Coms to suit all tastes, from mainstream classics like Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail to comedies like 50 First Dates and So I Married an Axe Murderer.

Entry to the event is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5.30 pm, with the movie screening at 6 pm, so get in early to ensure your seat. Please note: check-in via QR code for contact tracing is a requirement of entry.

Inner-city gastropub Isles Lane provides the Noms, with a pop-up bar and selection of movie friendly finger food. Your options include Mediterranean-inspired grazing platters and snacks like halloumi chips and arancini, while the bar will serve beer, wine and soft drinks.

If tapas doesn't tickle your tastebuds, you can grab a takeaway from nearby eateries like Melt Brothers , Phat Elephant and The Gresham Bar . Some of Brisbane's best burger deals are within walking distance as well.
