South Australia has seemingly undergone a bánh mě thịt nguội revolution and I loved visiting there recently. Drive in any direction and there was a Vietnamese roll shop open until long after sensible people have eaten their lunch.
My favourite was Roll'N on Bower at Semaphore Park. I had actually visited many roll shops but thought this one was in a great location, had a lovely cafe feel and were supporting a truly worthy cause: Feeding Dreams Cambodia
Every Vietnamese roll shop in South Australia had special menu items. Roll'N on Bower also offered a noodle salad, laksa, curries, dim sims and spring rolls, and those very yummy cold rolls (like a spring roll but not fried).
I have extra chili and always order 2 drinks as a consequence. Their Feeding Dreams Cambodia achievements are on display.
They were also happy to accommodate vegetarian requests and if I was in Adelaide longer, would have liked to have tried their tofu laksa. I hope you enjoy this great little local lunch venue as much as I did. These rolls are so healthy and the price makes it an affordable everyday alternative to making your own lunch at home.
