The Silver K Gallery is proud to present a special exhibition dedicated to the works of English rock musician, songwriter, singer and artist Ronnie Wood. Coinciding with the current sold-out Rolling Stone Australian Tour, this strictly limited event brings together a diverse collection of paintings, drawings and prints depicting the life and times of the Rolling Stones, as well as Wood's own personal musical heroes, including Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis and Chuck Berry.Wood formally trained at the Ealing Art College in the 1960s and notably created the cover artwork for Eric Clapton's 1988 box set Crossroads.
Today Wood is well-regarded as an accomplished artist with the South Bank Show even dedicating an entire program to his art career in 2004. His rich and vibrant collection of paintings, drawings and prints have been exhibited around the world and were turned into a clothing line by Liberty & Co in 2008.Much of Wood's art offers a behind the scenes look at the Rolling Stones, from their early years in England to their explosion onto the world stage. This is a rare opportunity to view one of the finest collections of Wood's artwork ever put together.Opening on Saturday 8th November until Sunday 14th December 2014.
