Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!

The last time I can remember roller skating was in the early 80's with disco lights and 'Staying Alive' music. In hindsight, those were great times. Of course, I spent most of the time trying to find my balance and I could swear that all those black-flip gymnastic moves on roller skates began with me. The only difference is that I never intended to execute any "special" moves, and I always seem to find myself lying horizontally on the concrete floor!
Like most activities, the more your practice, the better you become. Roller skating is no exception to this rule and is probably one of the most important motor skills anyone can learn. I can guarantee that once you learn how to roller skate/blade, you will be able to do this skill throughout your life.
I was invited to roller skate at Rollerzone. Of course I was nervous as those "backward flips" came bubbling to the memory surface. However, I did not want to be deterred from having a great day because of a very old memory.
A great selection of sizes for both roller skates and roller blades.
Rollerzone offers you a choice of either a roller skate (4 wheels arrange like a car) or a roller blade (3 to 4 wheels in a line). I decided to take the former option just to prove to myself that I can participate in this activity without showcasing any new 'moves'. Both shoe options had enough padding to ensure a comfy fit and there was an extensive sizing range to fit almost any foot.
Rollerzone recently refurbished their wooden floor. This meant that I experienced the smoothest roll, unlike my former experience where most of my moves were created from a wheel lodged in a hole in the concrete floor.
Of course, after 20 minutes I was ready to take a rest. It had been a while and my body was reminding me that I was no longer a teenager! I decided, however, that while I was taking a step back in time that I would order my all time "back to the 80's" special which was hot chips and Pepsi. My taste buds did not mind this experience.
Outside of general skating times, the Rollerzone offers birthday party options. Not only can your party be fully catered for, parents can sit back and enjoy a great cup of coffee while kids get rid of the extra energy. I would say, the best part of booking a party with Rollerzone is that you don't have to clean up the mess created by a tornado of kids. You can walk away with peace of mind that someone has this job covered, which means you can have your cake and eat it to! That is a good enough reason for me to book the next party at Rollerzone.
Your next great adventure does not have to be a roll of the dice!
All in all, I had one of the best experiences I have had in my life. If you are looking for something new or to step back in time (as I did) then Rollerzone should be on the top of your "to do list". I know I am looking forward to my next roller-skating adventure and with Easter Weekend just around the corner, this makes for a great family day out!
