About few weeks ago, I had what I like to call one of my Martha Stewart moments, I wanted to go into the kitchen to make something with the kids. So, sanity aside, I decided to head up the Sunshine Coast to
Rolin Farms.

The farms are located just off the Bruce Highway, where the Mobil Fuel Station is north of Caboolture. Here the kids and I could go out on a beautiful clear day and pick our own strawberries, with the plan of making our own jam, and fresh scones with cream for afternoon tea.
Sounds easy fun, right? Well it is when your kids aren't putting one strawberry in the basket and attempting to eat the other two in their hand without you knowing. That aside, the girls and I had a lot of fun getting out into some fresh country air.
After about half an hour, we took our loot back into the shed to have it weighed before paying for our lovely juicy strawberries. Strawberries are cash only, and the priced vary depending on the season.
You can also buy homemade jams and ice creams whilst your there, but being in Martha Stewart mode, we went home to make our own. Let's just say we tried, and leave it at that. Nonetheless, the kids and I had a great day by doing something a little different. Not sure if I'll try making jam again, but I'll quite happily settle for dipping them in chocolate instead.
