A long tradition of entertaining audiences
The Roleystone Theatre Inc is an amateur theatre group formed in 1933. Located in the Roleystone Hills, this not-for-profit community group puts on a variety of entertainment evenings throughout the year, including plays, musicals, movie screenings, awards nights, children's theatre and workshops.
The Roleystone Theatre operates from a cosy heritage listed building and is run by completely by volunteers. From actors, musicians and directors to crew, make-up artists and costume design, everyone is a happy and willing volunteer.
Tickets for performances are quite reasonably priced and are usually about $16.00 for adults, $12.00 for children for plays and $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for children for musicals. Tickets are available on-line or from the theatre box office.
The theatre has a snack kiosk and a licensed bar and there are a couple of nice restaurants close by so you can enjoy a delicious meal before or after a performance.
The Roleystone Theatre group puts on about five major productions each year. There are a couple of plays coming up in the next few months including ' A House that Jack Built', 'The Trip to Bountiful' and 'Charlie & the Chocolate Factory'. Auditions for these plays will be held soon, so if your interested in auditioning for a part, check out the auditions website.
If you are interested in becoming involved in local theatre, there are many areas where you can help out. The Roleystone Theatre Inc is happy to welcome new faces into the team. To volunteer for any role within the theatre, contact email@example.com.
