There's a fresh concept in Perth that is worthy of your attention. Hidden away at 269 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco is quite possibly the beginnings of a foodie revolution.

Combine five independent, local businesses, a strong dose of imagination, a suitable retail space and you've got Rok Art. A collaborative café!

This might sound dangerous but let me assure you it is no cause for a 'Game of Thrones' style battle for ascendancy. The experiment has been carefully planned and each business brings different, yet harmonious qualities to the table.

Collaboration is about achieving shared goals. This means the success of Rok Art is dependent on each business working together to bring the customer a great experience.

The inner beauty of Rok Art is the opportunity it has presented a lucky group of entrepreneurs to build their brand in a like-minded and supportive environment.

How does all this benefit you? Simply put, there is more choice. And not choice for choices sake, each product has a passionate owner standing right behind it.

Let's take a peek at what's on offer.

Artistic by Design sells gorgeous paintings, rugs, an assortment of gifts AND bagels (as if the art wasn't enough)

Baguette Me Not pay homage to Vietnamese cuisine with their take on the traditional banh mí (including a breakfast, bacon & egg version)

Perth Coffee Roasters steam a smooth latte from beans blended and roasted locally

The Prospect Project present a maze of healthy and raw treats, kombucha tea (Google it) and fresh juices to 're-vitaminise' your insides

Bonza Kitchen may sound pretty Aussie but instead you'll be inspired by a heart-warming French menu

All food is prepared fresh and on premises.

You've gathered it's an all weather café so if it's breakfast, lunch or something in between you're after Rok Art has plenty of options. If you've got an extra minute ask one of the owners to tell you their story. They're all compelling.

The café is open from 7am Monday to Saturday.
