Let's do the Time Warp Again
Don't forget to bring your rice, toast, water pistols and newspaper!
As Friday 13th November, 2015 approaches it is time once again for you to get your glad rags together and prepare yourself to dress-up outrageously and parade yourself as you join in the fun and antics watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Capri Theatre, Goodwood.
This time around the Capri Theatre is offering a $500 prize for the best dressed person. It is anticipated more Rocky Horror fans than usual will dress up and make ever effort to create quite a spectacle parading on stage.
Claire Baker, is one of the Capri's organists, and as she has been accompanying the Rocky Horror Picture Show for a number of years, she has quite a following and rapport with the audiences. She will be playing a number of songs from the movie. She will also get audience members up on the stage to do the Time warp and this is bound to create quite a reaction from the audience while Claire is performing.
If you haven't attended a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening at The Capri before, you are in for quite an experience as there are certain things done at certain times that are a worldwide custom. For example, when a character says a particular line on screen, the audience generally knows what the retort is, and they shout it out loud. In one part of the movie, when it is raining, Janet puts a newspaper over her head, and the audience responds with newspaper over their heads and begin squirting water pistols. At other time when Brad says, "I want to make a toast, the audience throw toast into the air. During the wedding scene, those who have brought rice begin to throw rice into the air.
If you are a first timer to such a Rocky Horror encounter, it is not compulsory for you to dress up outrageously to watch the movie, but none-the-less you are still sure to have a great time observing others and want to join in the fun and games.
For what can only be described as a different night out at the movies get along to the Rocky Horror Picture Show for a night's entertainment that will be an experience you are certain to enjoy.
