Monkey Nuts, Food, Wine and Music, all in one place
Rocktober 2014 is the fourth annual musical event held at Kies Wines in Lyndoch in the Barossa Valley. This year's event, on Saturday 11th October 2014 with feature free music by the Soundshifters, amazing food from the Monkey Nut cafe and wine from Kies Wines Cellar Door.
The Soundshifters are a classic rock cover band covering music from the early 1970's through until now. The band was established in March 2013 with the addition of Ken Brown on guitar and Declan on drums. Adding a rich blend of experience and youthfulness to the established group of Bill, David and Glenn. The result is a range of classic songs from Led Zeppelin through to the Vines - with a few twists on old and new favourites.
The Monkey Nut Café will be open all afternoon and will be serving $20 meals that includes such delights as :
Sweet Chicken Curry with Saffron Rice Fettuccine garlic prawns with crispy bacon and sundried tomatoes Gourmet beef burger with chunky potato wedges Mediterranean smoked salmon salad or A gourmet platter loaded with local meats and cheeses Barista made coffee

And of course the Kies Wines Cellar Door will also be open to serve the latest varietals of their classic whites and reds, all available at cellar door prices. The Monkey Nut Tree Merlots are a light red blend which are very hard to bypass on a mild Spring day.

Rocktober 2014 is on from 11am until 3pm, at Kies Wines on th Barossa Valley Way at Lyndoch. Plenty of parking is available, with several trees and umbrellas to shelter yourself when outside.
