Strap on your joggers or walkers, on Sunday 27th May, Rockdale community will be hosting a Fun/Run Walk to raise funds for the Knights of St George Heart Association for the St George Hospital Cardiac Surgery Unit. The Fun Run/Walk is intended as an event that everyone can participate in. The distances are either a 5km run or walk, or a 1km walk.

The circular course takes in the beautiful views of Botany Bay and the Georges River, commencing from Carruthers Drive, travelling south along the headland and then looping back north through Cooks Park along the Grand Parade, before turning south again at Ramsgate Road, and heading back along the bay to the finish line at Peter Depena Reserve, Dolls Point.

For the competitors amongst you, there are awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in men's, women's, under 12's and under 16's. There are also lucky prizes to be given away on the day. If you like seeing your name in print, the results of the fun run will also be published on the St George District Athletic Club's website .

And to refuel after your run, there will be a free sausage sizzle for registered entrants after the event.

Funds raised will go to the Knights of St George Heart Association for the St George Hospital Cardiac Surgery Unit.

Location: Registration takes place at the large picnic shelter at Peter Depena Reserve in Dolls Point.

Time: Registration commences at 7am, and the race commences at 8:30am.
