Brisbane Powerhouse will be hosting a concert this Saturday to save the Great Barrier Reef. Music, drinks and river views, what better way to spend your Saturday afternoon.
Rock for the Reef will be going from 2pm to 11:30pm and featuring thirteen unique musical acts including: Ash Grunwald, Deep Sea Arcade, The Medics, Dog Trumpet, Resin Dogs and more. It's an excellent opportunity to have good time out, soak up some local talent and be environmentally conscious all at once.
The concert will be held in the Turbine Platform, a cathedral like venue ideal for the laidback enjoyment of some wonderful Brisbane bands. If nine and a half hours seems like a long time to go without sustenance, don't fret, the Powerhouse has two restaurants/bars on site for your dining pleasure or nip over to the local Fish and Chips joint for a more cost effective alternative.
Ticket proceeds go to protecting the reef and further donations can be made when booking. Remember parking around the Powerhouse is limited so get in early if travelling by car.
