Words cannot describe the visual architectural masterpiece that is the Rock Bar Bali. Located along the 1.3km coastline of Ayana Resort and Spa Bali, Rock Bar is considered one of the world's best bars and it is easy to see why. The 360 degree views of the ocean, rocks and beach at sunset make this a magnificent masterpiece that you have to see to believe. Innovatively designed by Japanese designer Yasuhiro Koichi, this minimalistic approach exudes elegance at 14 meters above the ocean, perched on soaring cliff tops.
With the weather working in our favour my partner and I decided to venture to this site, which was mentioned to me in what I would call my Bali Bible (a book that highlights the must eat, see and do list of Bali). To get to this amazing location we had to travel down the inclinator that traverses the cliff face and provided us with spectacular shimmering oceanic views as far as the eye could see. Once landed it's easy to see how 'one' cocktail could turn into 'many'. The views were breathtaking and the Rock Bar matches this five star viewing equally in service by providing you with your own personal waiter. Cocktails and food are priced lower than Australian lounge bars, which is a bonus considering you are in five star luxury.

The drinks menu came out and I do kick myself when I look back for not being a bit more adventurous in my choice, I decided to go with the Lychee Martini Vodka,
Lychee Liqueur, Lychee Fruits and Fresh Lime, which came to my table as quick as it went into my mouth. My partner decided on the Bali staple of a Bintang beer. To accompany our drinks our waiter brought out some crunchy salted hand cut chips that were complementary and accompanied the beer well.

As I gazed around the breathtaking location and took many post card worthy shots it was easy to see why many people went there, the ambience was fantastic and the music equally as complementary. I cannot speak enough about the views! This is quite a trendy location and I would imagine home to a lot of expats who are here to escape their busy lives.
Overall, definitely one for the memory bank. The views, service and food is unforgettable at Rock Bar Bali.
