Robot Park on the corner of Mason Road and Doryanthes Avenue in Piara Waters is a unique children's playground with a range of activities which kids of all ages will love. It is imaginatively designed with a robot theme and has elements of nature, sand as well as water play.
One of the first things you will see when entering the park is a fallen robot head. This head doubles as a cubby house where kids can climb in and out of the eyes, nose and mouth as well as onto the top of the head. There is even a slide hidden within the structure.
The robot's body has nets and ropes which the kids love challenging themselves on. There is also a rock climbing wall and under the body is a hamster wheel where kids can run for hours without actually going anywhere.
An elevated slope leads to a flying fox and a slide. Lots of kids of all ages were having a go at this when we visited.
The nature play area is full of logs, wooden planks, tree trunk steps, swings and even paperbark trees that kids can climb. Facilities such as a BBQs, picnic tables and toilets are also in the park so the family can make a full day of it.
For the older kids, there is a basketball court and plenty of grassed areas if they want to kick a ball around or create their own game. There is limited parking at this popular park, so if you go on a sunny weekend, you may have to park on side streets.
