Robocog Cafe

Published July 25th 2011
Robocog is a tiny bungalow restaurant/cafe in Sydney's Surry Hills. Crammed full of metal robots and scruffy hipsters, it's an enjoyable way to spend a lazy Sunday morning.

The breakfast menu is an interesting mix of old favourites with a new twist, and there is a separate menu for Bacon Lovers. I went for the Breakfast 'Berrito' - scrambled egg, cheese, chorizo and home made salsa in a soft flour tortilla, which was both filling and delicious.

It's cash only and no split bills -- because, as they cheerfully state on the menu -- "I am bad at maths".

The quirk factor is high, the coffee is epic, and the service is efficient, but let's face it, anywhere that has a separate menu for bacon is going to get two enthusiastic thumbs up from me!
