As a teenager, Millsey started out by imitating great singers in his garage and never realised how one day he would scale the entertainment heights until he could claim his own voice in his own dynamic one man cabaret.
Now you too can enjoy Millsy's cabaret that is part comedy, part musical and part late night talk show all backed up with sensational music from an incredible band. During the show, you'll hear covers of songs by artists such as Taylor Swift, Queen and Pharell and, as an added bonus, Millsy will also be doing covers of himself. Yes, he has included several of his own hits from musicals such as, 'The Last Five Years', 'Legally Blonde', and of course, 'Wicked' in which he has starred.
Named to honour the critics who declare, 'Rob Mills is surprisingly good' this cabaret proves them 'surprisingly correct'!
You will go completely under the spell of the irrepressible Rob Mills as he reveals his incredible journey from Australian Idol contestant to acclaimed triple threat in his very first cabaret.
Millsy will entertain you with his eclectic mix of music and stories backed by a cracking band as he tickles your funny bone with his self-deprecating humour. The show is exuberant, funny, cheeky and filled with killer songs and interspersed with some juicy personal information Millsy has never told anyone before. While his stories might be new and personal, there's no way Millsy is taking himself too seriously and he intends to splatter a whacking great big dollop of 'taking the micky' over any his revelations.
Millsy's very successful career on the stage and TV has included the lead male role of Fiyero in Wicked and staring in a number of popular large-scale musical theatre productions including Legally Blonde and Grease. His television credits include The Mint, Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Apprentice and hosting Network Ten's revamped Young Talent Time.
Come along to the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre and enjoy a great night when Rob Mills proves the entertainment critics are right when they say he is, ' surprisingly good'.

After this appearance at the Entertainment Centre, Millsy will be moving his cabaret to the Powerhouse in Brisbane and then on to Berardo's Restaurant and Bar at Noosa. If you miss out on a seat at the Convention Centre you could always try again in Brisbane or Noosa. It's a nice time of the years to have some time down south so missing out up there is no reason to miss out all-together.
