Making its return for spring, Monarto Safari Park’s Roar and Snore event from 28 October to 29 October serves as both a camping experience and an opportunity to see some of the inner workings of the safari park.

After setting up camp at Indaba, guests will be taken on a behind-the-scenes experience by one of the zookeepers before returning to camp for a fireside feast. The next day, guests will get to visit behind the scenes of the safari park’s lion pride, which includes seeing them emerge from their night quarters in preparation for public viewing. After breakfast, guests have the choice of spending the rest of their day touring the safari park.

If you are interested in taking part click here where there is a link to book a spot for the event. Participants will need to bring their own tent, van or swag for the event as well as sturdy footwear, torches, sunscreen, insect repellent and clothing appropriate for the weather. Those with dietary requirements will need to state them when booking a spot.
