Great article Susan - congrats on the well-deserved gold! Fascinated by the flattened kerosene tin homes - how on earth did they keep the tins together? Or was it just a cladding of sorts?

Gosh, Susan, that's amazing, it appears to be timber indoors, with the outer kerosene cladding? Wonder how warm they were ... in Africa the little homes were usually made of mud and cow dung used for indoor flooring ...

Elaine,
Thank you for reading the article and for my gold I am excited even after 1000 articles. Apparently the tins once flattened were nail overlapping to each other. I will find the other photo I have of inside the hut and post it here for you. Susan.
