Now if you're anything like me, I definitely don't like camping - I tried it once years ago and firmly believe a holiday where you have to work harder than when you're at home, is not my idea of a holiday. Glamping - glamorous camping is probably a good compromise for me, I tend to think of myself as a discerning traveller, so anything with a touch of luxury will far-better suit my tastes - my hair-dryer is an absolute necessity.



Rivershore Resort has all the options, whether you're a 'Glamping' (me, type of person); a Caravanning person; or a usual type of 'Camping' person - they are organised to suit all our preferences. I love this type of venue - proactivity at its best! Rivershore Resort definitely has the bragging rights to an irreplaceable waterfront setting, right in the midst of the Sunshine Coast and only a short distance from our pristine beaches. With plenty of space for your caravan or camper trailer, Rivershore Resort gives you the freedom to set up camp however you choose, whether you own a tent, RV or a caravan. Or, perhaps like me you want to be self-indulgent, we can stay in the luxurious self-contained safari tents with river views and the opportunity to view the abundance of wildlife.



Rivershore Resort has three brand new modern amenity blocks, three camp kitchens, fully licensed bar/restaurant, large heated pool complete with two waterslides and even wheelchair accessible, toddlers' pool, large children's playground, private pontoon/jetty and boat ramp, large inflatable jumping cushion, Mini Golf, SUP/Kayak hire, Recreational equipment to hire (i.e. bicycles), Conference/Meeting Facilities and even free Wi-Fi (a big plus in my book, especially as my laptop is an added appendage) - something for every traveller. BIG4 Discounts are applicable.



'Glamping' (for me) facilities:-

Thirteen King Safari Tents;
Two Family Safari Tents;
Self-contained;
Four-poster King beds;
Ensuite bathrooms;
Kitchenette;
Televisions/speakers included in each tent;
Private setting
(and …electric points for my hairdryer)

These are absolutely fabulous with all the modern conveniences, a great outdoor patio to take in your serene surrounds and wildlife, an extra-large bathroom, offering both an extra-large bath AND a shower, a modern kitchenette and stunning contemporary decor.



Caravanning facilities and Camping facilities:-

Power on demand (PAYG);
Water;
Ullage;
Grass sites (minimum 10m x 12m);
Pet-friendly (outside of school holidays);
Multiple people;
Large groups, multiple families

I couldn't really tour this area as it was already fully-booked out with holiday-makers and I didn't want to encroach on their privacy.

The Camping facilities are the same as for Caravanning, but you need to bring all your own Camping gear. The grass sites are huge and with the perfect surrounds will give you the opportunity to enjoy sleeping under the stars and get back in touch with Nature - I, surely can do this with the 'Glamping' too?

Family-friendly dining with a relaxed, informal atmosphere when you unwind in the resort-style Cafe or sit back and chill out at the bar by night. An on-site Cafe and kiosk offering local fresh produce with pizzas, fish and chips, gourmet sandwiches, coffee/tea, cakes and muffins on the Menu and plenty more.



A perfect base destination if you're attending any of the Sunshine Coast Events, want to explore the hinterland, nip off down to the beach for a quick surf or just want to laze at the pool with a book.
