At the end of a long and tiring day at work or just otherwise all a person desires is some quiet, a calming environment, some good company and a good drink to take all the stress away. Riverland Bar at Federation Wharf is the answer to this very desire.
Feng Shui teaches us that flowing water is therapeutic and creates a calming effect for the mind. Capitalising on this very thought, the Riverland Bar is situated right next to the Yarra River on the Wharf. You can sit by the beautiful waters and watch boats go by whilst enjoying your food and drink.
This open-air bar serves appetising small and large both healthy and indulgent food for the soul with special menus designed on a regular basis to suit the weather and the occasion. It also serves a variety of wine and beer, leaving you spoilt for choice. Attending to this cold winter, the special for the season is "Mulled wine", which is a warm red wine spiced with cinnamon, clove and orange rind brewed with sugar to warm your cold bones this winter.
I chanced upon Riverland Bar during an outing with friends and have gone back several times with family and friends for coffee, a drink or a lunch on a sunny afternoon never being disappointed and always wanting to come back for more.
Just near the tables are the counters for boat rides and bicycle hires for a ride down the Yarra or just by it. With endless things to do especially enjoying a good time with friends, family or just by yourself the Riverland Bar is one of my favourites in the city.
So next time you're planning to meet up with your mates, or enjoying a good time with your family, remember destination Riverland!
