The Riverboats Music Festival was a Gold Winner (Festivals and Events) at the 2017 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards and is the Murray River's premiere music event. Staged in the twin-towns of Echuca-Moama, Riverboats takes place under towering river red gums in a natural amphitheatre next to the mighty Murray. Historic paddlesteamers meander past all weekend, and occasionally the corellas get a bit raucous at sunset. There is one stage and plenty of room for dancing, brilliant artists and delicious regional food and wine. It is one of the prettiest, most inexpensive, laid-back festivals in Australia. Come along for a weekend on the river and keep the festivities going a little longer by heading to the Junction Moama on the 18th of February for the second Riverboats wind-down. It'll be a chilled session of grazing plates and delicious beverages, conveniently a quick walk across the bridge, as soon as Kasey Chambers leaves the stage. See you there!
