Take a step out of the ordinary
While the rainy weather stopped us enjoying the outdoors, the funky Riverbar & Kitchen was still the perfect spot for our lazy brunch date.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of the interior, funky nooks, handbag hooks on the benches and a myriad of 'clutter' decorations to entertain the eye. I felt I stepped into a Cape Cod yacht cove hideaway.

I opted for the Croque monsieur, a tasty ham, gruyere & dijon mustard toasted sandwich. Simple but delicious.

My friend had the more elaborate bacon and egg roll with tomato, and dressed up with a dash of salsa. Both meals very reasonably priced at a mere $10 each.

The only disappointment, was that it was too early for a cocktail, as their list is impressive, and they even have the offerings in jugs, if you are dining as a group.

I did however, order the sensational Peach, mint, raspberry & coconut juice - the peach flavour battles with the raspberry pulp to dominate the drink. It is an absolute must try! It's too hard to explain quite how good this combination is.

With great food at cheap prices, and a really lovely ambiance, it's little wonder this restaurant is popular, regardless of the weather!

The interior looks very nice. It appears to have a nautical theme, but not too over the top with it.
