Where's the most relaxed place in Noosaville?

Talking as we are on a holiday resort, it's a tough question. Do you name one of the numerous restaurants facing the river? Do you go for something more laid-back and tucked away?

My choice is one that should appeal to any bookworm: The River Read. Sitting back on Thomas Street, just half a block from Gympie Terrace, the River Read is aptly named.

The bookshop café is tiny. The bookshop is full of crowded shelves, perfect for a luxurious browse. For those on a budget, the secondhand books on offer should be tempting. After you've completed your browse, head out into the awning café, another tiny space with cosy nooks where you can enjoy your coffee in comfort.

It's worth noting that the shop has a book recycling service, which is basically an offer of store credit for any books traded in. This is undoubtedly a budget-friendly option for anyone who consumes books at a rate of knots.

The store's motto is 'Love books, love coffee.' There's really nothing else needed.
