, located in the heritage listed town of Central Tilba, offers food lovers a true 'paddock to plate' experience.Come and enjoy an interactive hands-on cooking workshop with television host, chef and cookbook author Paul West. Best known for hosting the popular television show 'River Cottage Australia', Paul West will show you how to create delicious meals from scratch. There will be an emphasis on seasonality and sustainability and how to best showcase locally grown produce.
Alongside Paul is a team of specialised teachers including Food Producer from the show, Kelly , passionate cheese maker Erica , CWA master baker and international judge, Nelleke and specialist home butcher, Matt . With a diverse selection of workshop specialising on baking, pastries, cheese making and butchery, there is something for everyone at the cooking school.
As part of the experience, Paul and his fellow teachers will share their thoughts and experiences about growing and raising produce - it's a true farm to fork experience.All classes take place on location at the River Cottage Australia farm which is surrounded by the beautiful Gulaga mountain range.
All guests on the farm will be treated to a morning tea, followed by a hands-on farm tour to meet their favourite farm animals face to face, and lunch out in the countryside.Saturday, 15th October - 'Meat with Matt' - nose to tail class including butchery, sausage making, and how to make the most of the offal and every cut.Sunday, 16th October - 'Cheese with Erica' - cheese making including brie, two types of feta, ricotta and labneh.
