Fine dining by the river
In our great city of Adelaide, there is an aptly named restaurant called River Cafe, situated along the beautiful River Torrens.

It is a place that would be ideal to take someone out on a first date as the river setting makes it quite romantic and serene. Hence that is why I took my wife here for our recent wedding anniversary.

Based on the setting, decor, service and food, the restaurant can be classified as a fine dining establishment, but perhaps without the excessive prices of some other establishments.

For lunch, we decided on an entree and a main each.

Serving modern Italian food, our chosen entrees were pan grilled garfish fillets, and ricotta filled zucchini flowers.

For mains, we chose blue swimmer crab pasta, and char-grilled lamb rump with vegetables.

All meals were pleasant and enjoyable, and the staff were very attentive and accommodating.

Overall it was a lovely experience, enjoyed by both of us. My wife gave me a tick of approval for choosing the restaurant, so I am more than happy to recommend it to others, and perhaps come back in the future to consume their many other menu items.
